Despite
few fish caught this year, a lot of kids enjoyed the fishing

Our 2010 Kids Ice Fishing day was a huge success! We gave out all 200 poles and had probably another 10-20 people who returned them which we then gave back out to more people. The weather was nice but the fishing was slow. Lots of kids caught fish but it definitely was a tough bite. At the start of the event a 36 inch northern was caught on a tip-up in our area which was quite exciting for the kids to see. We had a great turn out of approximately 30-40 club members volunteering which made everything run real smoothly. I heard nothing but very positive praise from all who attended. Thank you all for helping make it such a great day!
